Medium and High Carbon Steel Products Overview
Our medium and high carbon steel (0.20–1.2% C) is available in full specifications and boasts high toughness, hardenability, and wear resistance. These properties make it widely suitable for applications such as saw blades (for stone, metallurgy, and woodworking), automotive parts (disk springs, safety locks, seats, gears), cutters, tools, and high-strength strapping bands. The steel strip thickness ranges from 1.5 mm to 20 mm, with a width range of 980 mm to 2050 mm.
The inherent properties of medium and high carbon steel provide an appropriate hardness balance. This prevents turn-down edges caused by excessive softness and eliminates tearing during stamping processes due to material brittleness. The product exhibits excellent plasticity, allowing for high reduction rates during cold rolling.
Our medium and high carbon steel strips feature excellent profile and high dimensional accuracy. For thicknesses above 3.9 mm, processing on the most advanced domestic cut-to-length lines ensures superior flatness (unflatness < 10 mm/m). For thinner gauges below 3 mm, standard finishing and decoiling guarantee an unflatness of < 15 mm/m.
