On September 24th, the Liangang Silicon Steel Product Promotion Conference, themed “Green Heart Power, Connecting to a New Future,” was grandly held in Loudi, the “Pearl of Central Hunan” and the hometown of Chi You. Customers and partners from across the country who care about and support the development of Liangang and its electromagnetic materials company gathered to focus on innovative applications of silicon steel, share technological advancements, and work together to move towards a green and efficient future for the industrial chain.
At the promotion meeting, technical experts focused on the current situation and product series of the silicon steel industry, and deeply analyzed the opportunities and challenges facing the silicon steel industry with a broad vision. They systematically explained the technical advantages of Liangang’s high-end silicon steel products and clearly outlined the development prospect of innovative products driving industry progress.
From the successful smelting of the first batch of silicon steel in 2007, to becoming the substrate supplier with the largest market share in China in 2018, from the establishment of the electromagnetic materials company in December 2022, to the first roll of non-oriented finished products coming off the production line in June 2023, and the first roll of high magnetic induction oriented finished products coming off the production line in June 2025, in just over two years, Liangang has created the fastest project construction speed and the fastest process speed for pulling high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel.
Bringing together top scientific research strength, Liangang has an industry-leading and domestically first-class silicon steel testing and R&D center, which has attracted more than 40 high-end talents including doctors, and a technical support team of 24 external academicians and experts. From R&D to pilot production to application, Liangang Silicon Steel has strong product R&D and application technology capabilities throughout the entire process.
Liangang’s non-oriented silicon steel has completed the development of 46 grades of products in four series. The products are widely used in home appliances, motors and other fields. The product series of non-oriented silicon steel for new energy vehicle drive motors continues to be enriched, and has been mass-produced by leading car companies. Thin-gauge products of 0.20mm, 0.15mm and 0.10mm for low-altitude economy and other fields have been successfully rolled off the production line, with iron loss reaching below 10W/kg, contributing to the rapid development of the country’s emerging fields.
Liangang’s oriented silicon steel has achieved the development of multiple grades of products such as high magnetic induction series and refined magnetic domain series. It has completed the access to the supply chain with the comprehensive advantages of product quality, technical exchanges and business services. Its products are widely used in many industry benchmark companies.
