LY Steel is the first manufacturer in China capable of conducting heat treatment on hot-rolled coils after cross-cut shearing. Currently, it serves as a leading global manufacturing base for high-end medium and thin gauge heat-treated sheet. The facility operates 13 heat treatment lines, which support processes such as quenching, normalizing, tempering, quenching+tempering, and normalizing+tempering, with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons.
Equipped with 19 heat treatment furnaces, 7 quenching machines, 9 levelers, 3 packaging lines, and 1 steel eco descaling line (SED), the heat treatment line system enables the production of high-end products including high-strength steel, wear-resistant steel, armor steel, ship plate, and pressure vessel steel. Leveraging advanced rolling quenching technology and excellent leveling capability, the maximum tensile strength reaches 2200MPa. Product specifications range from thickness 2.0–25.4mm to width 900–2130mm, with the 2mm quenched sheet recognized as the world’s thinnest high-strength heat-treated product.
